) A technologist is a highly skilled professional who uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2-year of CT Tech experience Duties:
Operate head or body x-ray scanners that create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations Provide patient care that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures Take patient medical history before an exam Position patients so desired anatomy will be demonstrated Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology Assume responsibility for the safety, and mental and physical comfort of patients Supervised by a board-certified radiologist but afforded a great amount of independence and responsibility
Qualifications:
Able to operate sophisticated computer equipment Strong interest in scientific and technical skill and knowledge Able to interact compassionately and effectively with the sick or injured High School graduate or equivalent Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school and ability to meet requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) C.

Tech certified preferred Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:
CPR Certification issued through an organization that requires hands-on in person training with a lead psychomotor skills verification (ex.
American Heart Association or Red Cross) TB_HL Recommended Skills Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Anatomy Basic Life Support Cpr Computer Equipment Health Care Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
